Ian works as a freelance chartered practitioner specialising in architectural design and project management. His portfolio includes a wide range of high quality architectural projects ranging from small residential conversions to large commercial schemes such as the Gurdwara Sikh Temple project which can be observed on the featured projects page of this website. He is constantly commended by his professional colleagues and has a reputation for excellence in his application of draftsmanship and professional expertise in delivering imaginative and creative design solutions in meeting his clients' individual needs.

Ian has worked in an independant capacity for over ten years which has provided him with self-motivation and leadership qualities. With over 25 years of construction related experience, qualified to Bachelor of Science degree level (BSc Hons), a Corporate Member of the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB), the Society for the Environment (CEnv), and registered with the CIOB Faculty of Architecture and Surveying and Building Control, Ian is equipped with a detailed understanding of statutory regulations, technical codes and standards which establishes proven knowledge and commitment to high professional standards. In accordance with Ian’s professional obligations, he acts with utmost integrity and carries out his professional work with due skill, care and diligence. He also understands the need to have proper regard for standards of service and customer care that is expected of him.

About IPB Associates

IPB Associates is a Chartered Architectural Design Practice based in Leigh, Gtr. Manchester established for over ten years and specialising in architectural design and project management for the built environment throughout the north-west and beyond. Our portfolio includes a wide variety of projects ranging from small refurbishments to multi-storey new build schemes in the residential and commercial sectors.

We provide the complete architectural design and project management service from conception through to completion in line with the RIBA Plan of Work 2007. This includes project preparation of feasibility studies and identification of the procurement method (stages A-C), concept and technical design (stages D-E), preparation of pre-construction tender information (stages F-H) and contract administration (stages J-L). Each of the above stages may be undertaken in isolation and tailored to meet clients specific needs.

We work with the aid of modern technology that provides us with the ability to produce 3D architectural building models directly from our computer generated plans. We can thus provide our clients with internal and/or external photo realistic images giving a presentation of the proposed scheme at conceptual design stage. This gives our clients an advantage to visualise the reality of the project which takes away all the uncertainties they may have about their proposals and thus provides an understanding to better envisage the scheme before a spade is put into the ground.
